Imagine Weekly – Issue 13 [September 1st]
Welcome to Issue 13 of Imagine Weekly 👋
Better late than never, right?
So this weeks issue arrived a bit late, sorry for that. Next weeks issue will be on time again. Pinky Promise. So this week hasn’t been quiet at all. FLUX is still going strong with lots of third party tools coming out and next to that a new version of ideogram has been released. Besides that Freepik Mystic is also being tested by some folks on X and the results are looking quite nice.
In this issue you’ll find:

📖 TL;DR; Weekly Recap of the Office Hours (or the extended recap)

🤩 Most Exciting Update
I'm really excited about the new Personalization System 🎨 coming to MidJourney. This update is going to let users set up their own profiles to match their style preferences. It's like having a personal touch added to the creative tools we use. With this, everyone's experience will feel more unique and tailored just for them. It's a big step towards making the platform even better at understanding what we like. I can't wait to see how this new feature will change the way we all create and explore our ideas. Keep an eye out for this one – it's going to be a game-changer! This is one thing which sets MidJourney apart from all of it’s competitors. Sure, you can spend time and effort fine-tuning models, but nothing compares to the simplicity of personalizing MidJourney.
Office Hours TL;DR; Recap 2024-08-28
Personalization System 🎨: Multiple profiles, more diversity, better user preference understanding.
Model Releases 🧠: Debating between MidJourney 6.2 (better prompt understanding, multi-language support) and Version 7 (major update, cleaner architecture).
Depth Control 🌊: New version in development, considering UI presentation.
3D and Video Models 🎥: Progressing fast, video capabilities might come before 3D.
Website and UI Updates 🌐: Big Grid feature testing, mobile and desktop app improvements.
Ongoing Projects 🔬: Personality test for research, hardware team exploring new products.
Miscellaneous 📝: Weekly office hours, hiring, swag competition, scaling recruitment challenges.
Future Considerations 🔮: Improved character/style references, smaller brush sizes, question ranking in live demos.
Changing styles of ai generated videos has become super easy. Look at this example. Give it a try with DomoAi. Which style do you like best?
🚨You can now change the style of any video very easily and in just a few clicks.🚨
I’ve prepared a complete workflow where I show you all the steps for making this type of video.

🎨 Inspiration, Prompts and Srefs
For today's issue, I've gathered some bold srefs for you to save and tinker with.
Felix never let’s you down when it comes to great style references and of course its presentation with the sphere at the top.
Neo Noir Cyberpunk
High contrast blue/black and white with a spec of red. I see this as a good reference for combining as it has this verticality and hard edges.
